Six ways to seewhat your body is doing.

Chronic symptoms don’t come from nowhere. They come from systems that stopped working the way they should — and these are the diagnostics Dr. Augustine uses to find where, most of them run right here in the office.

Measured — not guessed at

You can’t fix what no one went looking for.

Most people arrive here having already been tested — and told everything was fine. The difference isn’t only which tests get run. It’s that the results are read against optimal instead of average, read together as a pattern instead of one line at a time, and read by the doctor who then sits down with you and explains them.

Six diagnostics, one picture.

No test is ordered to fill a file. Each one answers a specific question about how your body is working, and Dr. Augustine runs the ones your case actually calls for — no more.

Functional blood chemistry The panel you’ve likely had before, read a different way: against optimal ranges, and as a pattern rather than a list. Lab panel
Heart rate variability The beat-to-beat variation in your pulse — a read on how well your nervous system shifts between stress and recovery. In-office · minutes
MenlaScan An in-office circulation screening — an early, non-invasive read on arterial health, run from the first visit. In-office
Heart Sound Recorder A low-risk acoustic tracing of the heart’s rate, rhythm, and tone — a picture of how the heart is actually working. In-office · minutes
Carotid Intima-Media Thickness A painless ultrasound of the neck arteries that measures early wall thickening, long before plaque hardens. In-office · 10–15 min Coronary Artery Calcium A fast, low-dose CT that scores hardened plaque in the coronary arteries and puts a real number on cardiac risk. Imaging referral

Not sure which of these applies to you? That’s exactly what the call is for.

Why your labs came back normal.

Standard reference ranges describe the average of everyone tested, including the chronically unwell. Functional blood chemistry reads the same markers against optimal ranges — where healthy bodies actually operate — and reads them together as a pattern.

That gap is where early trouble hides. It’s also why “normal” and “well” are not the same word.

One marker, two readings STANDARD RANGE · “YOU’RE NORMAL” FUNCTIONAL OPTIMAL · WHERE HEALTH LIVES YOU Inside “normal.” Outside optimal. ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE · YOUR RESULTS ARE REVIEWED ONE-ON-ONE.

A test is only useful if something happens next.

  1. The workup starts the same day

Your first office visit is $80 flat. Dr. Augustine goes deep on your history and begins the workup right there, instead of sending you away to wait on a referral.

  2. The report of findings

What the numbers actually revealed, in plain English, and a program built around them — supplements, therapies, timelines, and every cost named before you commit.

  3. Then you test again

Repeat diagnostics track whether the plan is working, so progress shows up in real numbers and not only in how much better you feel.

Is testing the right first step?

  • You’ve been told your labs are normal, and you still don’t feel well.
  • You have symptoms no one has connected to a cause.
  • You want to know your cardiovascular risk before there’s an event to react to.
  • You’d rather see the numbers than guess at the next supplement.

Medical disclaimer. The diagnostics described on this page assess how your body is functioning. They are not a substitute for evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by your physician, and Dr. Augustine encourages every patient to maintain that relationship. Which tests are appropriate is decided case by case, every result is reviewed with you one-on-one, and individual results vary.
